Wells Rotary Recognized for Support of the Wells-Ogunquit CSD

At its December 5^th meeting, the Wells-Ogunquit CSD School Committee recognized the combined contributions that the Wells Rotary Club has made over time in support of the mission of the Wells-Ogunquit CSD.

Presenting a “Certificate in Recognition” to President of Wells Rotary Suzanne Ilsley was School Committee Chair Russell Fox. Mr. Fox pointed out that the Rotary has provided support for the WOCSD for many years.

Examples of the Wells Rotary Club’s generosity to the District include the donation of funds for scholarships, financial support for the construction of a concession stand near the athletic fields of Wells High School and, this fall, a donation to help four Wells High School students attend Rotary International United Nations Day in New York City on November 3^rd.

Fox later noted the Rotary’s reach into the greater community of Wells. “You can see the work they’ve done at Wells Harbor, you can see the work they’ve done at Wells Parks and Recreation; they are very supportive of our community.”
