The Wells-Ogunquit Adult Community Education’s spring semester is in full swing. In addition to many of the popular programs that they present on a regular basis, they have some exciting new offerings. Two of their new March programs are “From Grain to Glass” on March 30, and “Explorations in Singing” beginning March 31.

“From Grain to Glass”: Beer has been brewed and enjoyed since the beginning of recorded history. In this 2-hour class, a brewer from Kennebunkport Brewing Company (KBC) provides a detailed tour of their brewery, an overview of the brewing process and a history of beer and its different styles. Following the tour, there is a guided beer and cheese pairing in a private function room. This class meets onsite at KBC, 8 Western Avenue in Kennebunk. The program fee is $35.00.

“Explorations in Singing”: This 4-session program will cover a variety of topics in singing at a basic level, while building skills in a small group setting and using songs to apply what is learned. Participants warm up the vocal instrument, listen carefully to pitches and to each other, sing and name the tones of the scale and the intervals, learn a round and sing in unison and in harmony. The instructor directs a contemporary ensemble. The program fee for this course is $49.00.
