EPA Grant to the Wells-Ogunquit Community District

On Monday, October 31st there was a formal announcement from a representative of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) pertaining to an EPA Grant awarded to the Wells-Ogunquit Community School District (WOCSD) to provide funding for the purchase of eleven electric-powered school buses. This announcement was made at the front of Wells Junior High School.

Guest speakers at this event included David Cash of the EPA, WOCSD Superintendent of Schools James Daly, Maine Department of Education Commissioner Dan Chuta, State Senator Joe Rafferty, State Representative Tim Roche, Grady Roy (member of the WJHS Environmental Club), and Sam Burne (member of the WJHS Green Team).
