Autism Safety Education and Training at Wells High School on March 27th

The Wells-Ogunquit Community School District is presenting "Autism Safety and Education Training" on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This will be held in the auditorium at Wells High School.

This is an important, “free” educational opportunity for police officers, firefighters, EMS, educators, families and any other interested community members needing a better understanding of how to prevent, recognize, and respond to crisis situations involving persons on the autism spectrum and with other developmental disabilities. This event seeks to build partnerships between first responders and community members to address safety issues with this population, including bolting and wandering.

The presenter is Matt Brown Mr. Brown is a parent of a child on the autism spectrum and is a 25 year veteran of law enforcement.
