Friday, April 7, 2023 District-wide winners are announced
Thursday, April 27, 2023 Literary Achievement Awards Ceremony held at Wells Elementary School, 6:00 PM
Students submitting entries are required to:
Grades K-2 may submit a handwritten copy to the classroom teacher. Grades 3-Adult Ed will digitally submit a typed copy. Directions can be found on the cover sheet.
Please, only one entry per student.
Your written piece should be in 12-point font and 1.5 line spacing. Entries should not be more than 10 pages in length.
Make certain the author's name or personally identifiable information only appears on the cover page.
Signed cover page and submission of your best writing turned in by March 3, 2023.

Friday, February 25, 2022 Deadline for submissions to be received by teachers
Friday, March 11, 2022 Selection of seven entries from each grade level completed by in-house judges
Saturday, March 19, 2022 Community judges select winners from each grade level
Friday, April 1, 2022 Contestants will be notified of winners.
Due to our current situation regarding restrictions and Covid, we will not be holding the Literary Achievement Award Night for this current year.
Students submitting entries are required to:
1. Submit a clean, typed copy (if grade 3-adult) of your best writing, (exception: grades K-2 can be handwritten) by February 25, 2022.
Please, only one entry per student and submit ONLY once.
2. Your written piece should be at a 12 point font and 1.5 line spacing. Entries should not be more than 10 pages in length.
3. Make certain the author's name or personally identifiable information only appears on the cover page.
4. Cover page and submission turned in to literacyawards@wocsd.org (or teacher if K-2) by 2/25/22.

Entries should not be more than 10 pages in length.
Make certain author’s name or personally identifiable information does not appear on any of the pages or in the text of the entry.
Attach a cover sheet signed by student, teacher, and parent.
Submit entry to grade level teacher no later than February 28, 2020.
In-house judges are needed to select grade-level winners !!
