The Wells Players will present the Arthur Miller drama “The Crucible,” opening Tuesday, November 14th with a 3:30 p.m. performance.  Seats for the matinee are $5 with free admission offered to students and senior citizens.  The show will continue with evening performances on Wednesday, November 15th and Thursday, November 16th beginning at 6:30 p.m.  The final production will be on Friday, November 17th at 7:00 p.m.  Ticket prices for the evening performances are $8 for the general public and $5 for students and senior citizens.

This gripping Tony Award-winning drama tells the story of the Puritan purge of witchcraft in historic Salem, Massachusetts.  The Crucible reveals the paranoia caused by the fervent accusations of witchcraft.  Flames of hysteria consume Salem as the villagers wait to find out who will be accused next.

The production is directed by Andrew Lopez and features a cast of twenty-seven high school performers, some new and some seasoned.  The Crucible is produced with special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., 440 Park Avenue South, New York, NY 10016.
