On January 14th, veteran storyteller Jackson Gillman, the Stand-Up Chameleon, appeared in a show for students at Wells Elementary School. Employing a mixture of humor, music, mime, movement and sign language, Gillman delighted the audience with a wide range of tales, many of which allowed for student participation. At one point in the program, Gillman turned to song to sing about a pet rhinoceros. Gillman’s appearance at WES was arranged by school Librarian Karen Westerberg. Jackson Gillman (www.jacksongillman.com) has been entertaining audiences since 1978.
